What is Gentle Seated Yoga?

Seated Yoga is a style of yoga that is practised entirely seated on a chair or standing and using the chair for support. You do not need to be able to get up and down off the floor for this practice.

It's a really beautiful practice and allows the physical benefits and relaxation of yoga to be accessed by those who are elderly, injured, suffering with chronic illness or fatigue, disabled, who struggle with mobility or balance, or are unable to get up and down off the floor. It can also be practised in a wheelchair and those in wheelchairs are very welcome to join the class. Please note that we do not have access to an accessible toilet in the studio unfortunately.
